When You Know Something Is Wrong but Can't Get Answers
There Is a Reason
Many neurological symptoms happen because certain brain pathways are not functioning properly, even when traditional tests appear normal.
Review. Reset. Restore.
Three synchronized phases designed to identify dysfunction, retrain the brain, and rebuild the foundation for lasting recovery.
Review
Many neurological conditions develop when the brain and nervous system become stuck in dysfunctional patterns. The first step is identifying and resetting these abnormal patterns through a comprehensive neurological evaluation. This helps us understand where the brain and nervous system are not functioning optimally.
Reset
Once dysfunction is identified, the next step is retraining the brain through neuroplasticity. Your brain has the ability to adapt and strengthen when the right pathways are stimulated. Our programs use targeted therapies designed to activate and retrain specific brain circuits.
Restore
Recovery doesn't just depend on therapy — it also depends on the environment your brain is operating in. Factors such as inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, gut health, and nervous system stress can all affect brain function.
Conditions We Work With
Most patients don't fit neatly into one diagnosis. Many have overlapping symptoms across categories.

Chapters
Meet Dr. Cooper & Brain Health and Chiropractic
An introduction to the clinic's mission in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, focusing on complex neurological cases. The doctors outline their specialized 4-day Brain Reset Program and the types of patients they serve.
Who We See in the Office
This section details the diverse patient population treated at the clinic, ranging from adults with post-concussion syndrome and POTS to children dealing with ADHD and autism. It highlights the focus on rewiring brain circuits rather than just treating symptoms.
What Makes Functional Neurology Different
The doctors explain the distinction between traditional chiropractic care and functional neurology, which evaluates brain systems like the eyes, vestibular centers, and the cerebellum. They note that this approach is intensive and requires specialized equipment and training.
Why Most Chiropractors Don't Do This
This segment discusses the logistical and educational barriers that prevent most chiropractic practices from adopting functional neurology. The high intensity of therapy and the specific tech required create a distinct business model.
Why Neurological Symptoms Are Invisible
A reflection on the challenge of communicating invisible symptoms like head pressure or dizziness, which lack the physical signs of a broken bone. The doctors emphasize the importance of deep-dive questioning to identify the specific brain areas that are struggling.
The Eye Posture & Chronic Neck Pain Connection
The doctors illustrate how eye posture issues, often resulting from concussions, force the head to compensate, leading to persistent neck pain. They explain why adjusting the neck alone fails to resolve the root neurological cause.
Core Belief: The Body Can Recover Itself
A discussion on the foundational philosophy that the body is programmed to recover if the brain is guided out of a "fight or flight" state. By rebuilding foundational structures, the doctors aim to promote a rest and recovery response throughout the entire body.
Brain-Body Mismatch & Why Symptoms Linger
This part explains the concept of "mismatch," where sensors in the feet, gut, and head fail to provide the brain with accurate information. This sensory dysfunction leads to compensation patterns and persistent symptoms.
Functional Neurology, Explained Simply
The doctors define functional neurology as the study of the nervous system in a state of function, comparing their role to a personal trainer for the brain. They provide examples of how specific, targeted therapies can strengthen weak neural pathways.
A Different Option When You've Tried Everything
An overview of why this approach is ideal for chronic patients who have exhausted traditional treatments. The clinic combines vision, vestibular, and chiropractic therapies with hyperbaric oxygen to stimulate recovery.
The POTS & Salt Myth
The doctors debunk the common belief that salt is the primary solution for POTS. They argue that the root cause lies in the brain's inability to interpret gravity and coordinate systems, which requires neurological integration rather than just dietary changes.
Results We've Seen with Parkinson's
A look at the clinical results observed in Parkinson's patients, specifically regarding improved balance, reduced tremors, and more fluid gait control. By addressing the neurological components of rigidity, they help patients achieve greater physical independence.
Inside the 4-Day Brain Reset Program
A description of the intensive, 4-day treatment schedule involving multiple hours of daily therapy and hyperbaric oxygen. The doctors explain that this "high-intensity" approach builds muscle memory and reflexive improvements more effectively than sporadic care.
After the Program: Home Care & Independence
The final section covers the transition to home-based exercises and lifestyle adjustments that ensure long-term independence for both children and adults. It emphasizes that the ultimate goal is to empower patients to manage their health outside the office.

Real outcomes from patients who came to us after years without answers.
"Words really can't express what an amazing experience I had during my Brain Reset with Dr. Cooper. I went from having daily, chronic dizziness to feeling normal again for the first time in a decade. I went to every specialist before seeing Dr. Cooper and was simply told I would have to live with my symptoms. Day 1 of the Brain Reset and I knew that wasn't going to be true — I finally had hope again."
"I came from across the country to Brain Health and Chiropractic in Sioux Falls to see Dr. Cooper after years of struggling with anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, and insomnia. I had visited other chiropractors and functional medicine clinics and have done every test you can think of, but nothing ever truly fixed the problem — until this. By the end of those four days, my sleep improved, my focus and clarity returned, my energy increased, and my anxiety dropped dramatically."
"When I first went in for my initial evaluation, I felt completely hopeless. My list of symptoms just kept growing with time — chronic stomach issues, persistent bloating, constant dizziness, and migraines. But everything changed after seeing Cooper. I completed four days of intensive treatment — and the results were beyond anything I could've imagined. My symptoms were almost completely gone. Everything I had been struggling with turned out to be neurological."
"It has been pure joy having the opportunity to work with Dr. Cooper and his team! His approach, combining functional medicine, neurology, and chiropractic care is truly what sets his practice apart. My journey to recovery from neurological Lyme has been a process and I am so thankful for the insight and vast improvements I've experienced in just 4 short days."
Traditional Care Often Looks for Structural Damage. We Evaluate How the Brain Is Functioning.
Many patients who come to our clinic have already seen multiple providers and undergone extensive testing. Often they are told that their imaging or lab results look normal, yet their symptoms persist.
Traditional medical care often focuses on identifying structural problems such as injuries, disease, or tissue damage. While this approach is important, many neurological symptoms occur because of how the brain and nervous system are functioning, not just what they look like on imaging.
When certain brain regions or pathways are not communicating properly, symptoms such as dizziness, brain fog, headaches, fatigue, or autonomic dysfunction can occur, even when standard tests appear normal.
Our approach focuses on evaluating brain function and nervous system regulation through a detailed neurological examination. By identifying dysfunctional pathways and retraining them through targeted therapies, we aim to help the brain operate more efficiently and support recovery.
We Ask a Different Question
Not "Is your brain damaged?" — but "How is your brain functioning?"
The brain can change. We know how to make it happen.
"You can't supplement or medicate your way out of a dysfunctional brain."
If certain brain pathways are not working properly, they must be identified and retrained to improve neurological function.
